While in a quandary over where to place these pictures, I picked "SCCA" as that's where the pictured '356' was meant to race.
It's Dennis Gilbert's tube-frame-with-a-356-VIN racer with a very cool paintjob. I believe it was sold after exposure in maybe "Excellence"(?)but I got these shots from Denny, 'just because.' He was king of the hill in an EP-II Speedster back in the '60s when I also ran the PHA hillclimbs in mine...the good old days!

Thanks, Betty (just kidding).....it was great to see what I think to be the red/silver mask) Speedster of Dennis Gilbert (see above pictures of red/checkered flag nosed pseudo-Speedster) at the start line of the Hershey Hillclimb 'back in the day.'

I believe the shot of the square roll bar'd (dull silver) Speedster is of it being driven by it's O.O., G. Nagle Bridwell, Subsequently, I was it's 4th owner for over 25 years...ol' 84255. (Please see yellow/black mask) Speedster, above/top.)

Pictures of recent Vintage mixed in is also appropriate. It shows the similarity of early vs. recent racing of 356s (et al) but allows use of the sayin; "Remember when racing was dangerous, but sex was safe?"
