      • WOW! That is cool and it sure looks like a Carrera 2. If so, this must have been the interceptor unit. Great stuff as always you guys!

These were obviously taken long before I owned the car.

Car is now in Australia, being restored, I presume. It'll be a beauty...

                • Dick,

Hey, thanks for the invite, but I think the folks at St. Andrew, Memphis, MI, who I am temporarily serving would miss me . . .I hope.

Anyway, we just had our big 100th anniversary airshow at Selfridge Air National Guard Base with the T-birds, where I spent about a month trying to run down retired crew members around the country for the 191 FIG (Fighter Interceptor Group), FG (Fighter Group), AG (Airlift Group) and whatever else we were called over the years. Between that, the Parade in Spokane, and the Holiday in Iowa, we (at least Karen) are about evented out.

Can you still pull 9 G's,
                  Ron

                  • Don't think I could handle 9Gs or ever could even with a G suit.
The A6 could go to 6 but 4+ is about what we pulled coming off target.

                    • Amazing photos Dick What talent and nerve you had to land and take off from such an "exacting" location. I'm just blown away by these old photos. Thank you for sharing these.

I didn't get a chance to drive the Roadster yesterday since I was at the NAS Oceana Air Show Watching the Blue Angels on the old 'home turf'!

I'm off this AM for a 140 mile drive in the 84 Targa to VIR for the SRVA Vintage races.
