    • Another gift from my parents. Here is a photo of my Dad in his super 90 roadster, early 60s, venue unknown (I forgot to ask). Note the wrinkled quarter panel, other side is similar from a slow rollover at Limerock. He said the huge 3.5"? diameter rollbar worked well.

      • Whew MIC,
        Glad it wasn't my Roadster.
Do you know the car's serial number/year?

        • Mic, did the windshield frame hold up? I remember seeing a photo of a roadster upside-down at Riverside (?) with no roll bar and the windshield frame was holding the front of the car up! The glass appeared to be intact. Amazing how strong those things are.

          • Cool old historical family photo Mic! Thank you for sharing it!

Never would have guessed a Windshield frame to not collapse in a roll-over Jack. Had to have been a Slow-mo crash...

            • I believe it is a 61. My Mom said she would look for any paperwork on the car. It got sold because I was born & they needed a bigger car. At that time my parents had my 59 coupe & the roadster.

The windshield & nose was untouched. Slow rollover in soft dirt/mud. My Dad said he figures due to the car being heavier in the rear it rolled on the roll bar & quarter panels/deck lid. It did get repaired quite nicely by Emil Hoffman.

                        • I bet my red seats went through the process in your photo and probably made up by the same people! That is probably my seat that young guy is working on. Thanks for that pic, never seen the Reutter seat area before.
