That body shape is this? Looks too low for a coupe? Almost like a hardtop speedster?

Good eye on that one Neil, it is a Speedster with a Glasspar hardtop.

Side spears would be pretty unusual on a Coupe.

My 56 coupe has Speedster trim on the CoA which I understand means side spears! I read an article in the registry which said that some do have them. However, mine most of been removed at some point.

Looking at the photo above--I wonder how often they repainted these cars? Must have had dents and chips all the time.

Agree Pat, I could also picture a lot of "starburst" bumps in the fenders from rocks slinging off the tires at speed...
