Yea I agree, but he had some 0.125 ABS sheet, to make a box around the battery, then covered the exposed top with carpet. Might keep the acid off the rest of the carpet. It fits well

He also made a ABS tire/ tank cover insert, so the carpet will lay flat over the tire. I don't remember if it had a battery cover originally, my brain has gotten old.
