They brought the car to Cars N Coffee in Irvine, CA a few months back. Here are all the pics I took. I talked for about 15 minutes with one of the guys, specifically about the engine. He mentioned that his heads are 4 valves per cylinder, something that the Polo motor isn't doing (yet?) I saw your post Justin in the Polo thread about the 4 valve heads running hot.

Great photos Trevor! I like the artistic shot through the hood filler hole. Cars have a tendency to look quite different in person; what did you think even more impressive in the flesh? Have fun at Jacks get together this afternoon; wish I lived closer. Thank you for posting these detailed pics of this car! Justin

The pic thought the filler hole was kind of dorky, but whatever

The car was definitely better in person. My characterization of it was that it wasn't so much a tribute but more along the lines of what a brand new 550 would look like today if Porsche had kept it in production and it had evolved. It was badass!

Jack's party is tomorrow but I'm headed over there now to hang out and see if I can get a little dirty helping out. If you get a wild hair and wanted to drive out you can totally crash at my house tonight, I have a pretty comfy couch and I'm only about 5~10 minutes away from his shop.

                      Hey Trevor,
Thanks for the offer my man! Very nice and I really appreciate it but I'll have wait for Dana point next year. Have a great time tomorrow and tell Jack and anyone else who might care I said hello! Justin

                            Trevor,

Just looked through the complete thread, Lovely project. The balance in design is just right. The engine is perfect, all in all a great job by Vintech.

                            Thanks for posting!
