Well Folks,
The Roadster 88971 enjoyed a great day at Classics on the Green.
This year Classics featured 'Trendsetting Designs in Automotive History'.
A number of cars were paraded in for the crowd to enjoy.
One being Chris Overholser's 1957 Speedster.
There were probably some 250 cars entered again this year.
Ferraris, Jags, Rolls Royce, Bentleys, Morgan's, MGs, Triumphs etc.
The Field from across the top of some 356s.
Lufteknic made up a display board for the Roadster telling of its restoration and life span history.
This is how 88971 was presented.
Roland Peacock's 1957 Outlaw took Class Honors.
Was I surprised when some time when by and a guy came by and put this blue sign on the windshield.
'BEST IN SHOW'
I could have fainted!
Good Grief!
The Roadster was the last to roll across the reviewing stand as the award was presented.
A bottle of New Kent Winery Red with two glasses in a wood case.
Cool!
I took this pic after I got back home.
The Award
Chris made up this sign for the windshield along with the display board.
It was a really great day for Drive Your 356 Day.
Dick
