"No early birds, speculators or sharks."
I get the idea that it's a friendly event.
I'm trying to guess that these are?
An early birds is someone that turns up first and buys everything?
A speculator is someone that offers items for sale at super high prices?
A spark is someone that tries to buys something at a very low price without telling the seller he knows it's true value?

Early birds are the guys that show up hours before start time with their flashlight (torch to the Brits) and start bugging people before they even have time to unload their stuff and set up. Bad form, IMHO.
Speculators are the guys that buy your parts, and five minutes later have them displayed for more money.
Sharks are the guys that have no interest in 356. Their focus is on money, and themselves. We all know some of these guys.
If I see any of this type of behavior, the offenders will be asked to leave immediately. In our over 15 years, this has yet to happen.
The purpose of this free event is to show appreciation from Kerry and myself to the 356 community for giving us the opportunity to live our dream over all these years, to help folks along with their projects, and for people to make new connection, or revive lost ones. No one is asked to do anything other than show up, but literally dozens of people volunteer to make this event a memorable one each year. Charlie Presta will be be flying in with 40(?) lbs of freshly made Italian sausage direct from Milwaukee, Bob Lee and Charles Ognibene usually man the cooking station, the band will be back again, playing for only tips (please take care of them!), Meguiars usually sends some goody bags, my GF Shelley will be making her killer hot chicken wings, others bring potato salad, fruit salad, chips, dips, water, soda, beer, wine, and other libations, cookies, cake, chocolates, Bill Sampson's fabulous rum balls, and the list just goes on and on. Hagerty classic car insurance, and some local SoCal 356 part suppliers may be in attendance as well. Last year we had 70+ 356's and many other Porsches, VW's (a genuine unrestored 904 two years ago, parked on the street!!!).
PS A special thanks to Mike Nelson for staring this tradition at his home years ago. Ten people were there.Jack (analog man from the stone age)
