  • Lufteknic in Richmond, VA

I took my 356 to Lufteknic here in Richmond, VA to have a number of issues fixed. Here are some photos from their Facebook page that I thought you might enjoy. They have an annual Christmas party for their customers and the folks there pass out these wonderful Christmas cookies. Also the 911 is called the "Stuka" and has WWI lozenge paint --what a neat car. Also Chris Overholser (the 356 expert there) in his Speedster. These photos are stolen from their Facebook page.

Well Dick, I have had about 3 or 4 emails from Chris and I think we are doing fine. Frieda will be in absolute top notch mechanical shape when she comes home.

        For sure Pat!
We lost power for about 3 hours when the storm blew thru.
Had to drag the generator out of the garage, the Roadster protects it.
He drained the tranny before I left in prep for the new axel boots etc.

This is always a great event and Robert and his Family go to a lot of planning each year to make it a hit.
ALL of those cookies were done by Robert's Mother,(Jodi) Sister (Terry) and Dad (Chris) who have a day to day hand in the shop!

The Lufteknic Team http://www.lufteknic.com/ were out in Chester, VA at the every Saturday night Cruise In at Hardees!
After getting some additional overtime work done in the shop Robert-President of Lufteknic along with IT Guru Nate Brown and Grant White fired up the 1956 'PorscheBus with the 3.6 911 powerplant, the 1960 VW with the 356SC engine and the new GT3 for the 15 mile ride down I-95.
                The Cruise In was packed!
Wolfman John was there with his music trailer spinning the hits of the 50s & 60s for the crowd which even enticed one couple to start dancing.
I told the guys to arrive by 4:30 PM for a good parking place and they did.
I had the Roadster up there also and we were all wearing our Lufteknic shirts.
                Good advertising!
In the PorscheBus what came with 30 HP is now 300 HP and has full 911 running gear, front and rear.
The engine gets it fuel from a 356B fuel tank.

                The crowd loved the cars!
I'll bet they would go bonkers over the 1964 Mercedes Fire Engine.

They don't come any nicer! Great folks who share the passion of old Porsches! Dick and I and many others trust our old cars to these folks because they love them as much as we do and they do impeccable work. We are fortunate to have them here in our neck of the woods.

                            Dick,

That looks to have been a great party. The catering alone looks som professional I thought till I read your comment it was all bought in!

So apart from some very talented technicians there are very talented cooks in their family.

To make a business work well you need people like this to care about their customers and work force.
Well done them!! Nice cars and photo's Dick.
