Some very nice cars at a great venue. I really like the 'Mexico' car, real or faux and the Viper Green and blue 911 is so 70's. Looks like most of them get used. Do you think those on the continent more or less inclined to do so ? Any 912's in the group ? Thanks for the images.

The original Coupe des Alpes was first organised in 1930 on a random basis until the 2nd WW
From 1946 to 1971 this race organised every year except in 1970 became as popular and as difficult as the Liege Rome Liege race
At that time the race was starting and ending from Cannes and the course was running through France, Switzerland, Austria and Italy
Starting from 1988 an "historical" evocation was organised for wealthy car collectors
2014 was the 25th edition
Most of you have seen pics of this race in the 356 historical races topic
Many Porsches entered this race but Porsche won only 2 times
In 1953 with the 356 driven by Helmut Polensky/Walter Schluter

and in 1956 when the 356 of Robert Buchet/Claude Storez and Paul Ernst Strahle/Hubert Stroining finished
