Well Guys,
Under very threating weather skies it came off.
Not sure of the final count of cars, but it was around 70 or so.
We had 4 356s show.
We lost two others due to the severe storms that rolled thru Friday and Saturday evening.
My'Porsche' ride to the awards banquet Saturday evening was a 2005 Buick Lesabre.
The event was held at Virginia Crossings Convention Center that is located North of Richmond City.
The gold weather vane was a golf bet win of the former CEO getting it from the CEO of Anheiser Busch.
Not to miss a photo op I got the Roadster in front of the main building.
We had 4 356s show up.
A very nice 1957 Speedster that took 1st in Class and Peoples Choice.
My 1961 Roadster, a 1962 Cab and a 1964 Coupe to be a Outlaw.
As I said the Speedster is very nice.
It was restored in York, PA.
There were many other 'newer' Porsche on the grass also.
A couple of 914 track cars, one with a 3.2 engine.
Virginia Crossings is located on near the Civil War Battle Site where JEB Stuart was killed-hence the cannon.
The local Porsche dealer selected one winner's name from each class to be put in the pot to win a trip to the Porsche Experience Driving School.
George Michaels from the 1st Settlers PCA Region and former F-14 TOMCAT guy who brings his nicely prepared 928 to the show won.
He was stunned!
A fun event in spite of the clouds and rain.
Dick
