    And you thought your 356 was 'vintage'. Truly worth watching if you're interested in old fast cars. The FIAT S76 28.5 Liter (Yes, 28.5 liters !) 1911 record attempt car. One of two made.

    In case anyone doesn't know how large 28.5 liters is, it's appox the size of FOUR 427 cubic inch displacement engines. My best guess that it will rev to less than 2500 rpm. Top speed anyone?

        Thanks for posting this one up Joel. I've watched several videos on what is quite literally rolling thunder! Thanks for putting the engine size in better perspective Jack. The Pistons must 10 inches across!

        The sound still makes a statement over a 100 years later. While watching this footage I could only imagine the impression it left on those early spectators who witnessed this car run; in a time when cars were a very rare and expensive novelty.
