Thanks for posting this one John, Who doesn't love a good mystery!
Should be quite interesting if the story actually pans out to be true. The legal wrangling over the wreck will of course be just the beginning but I have to assume that it will most likely be awarded back to Barris since he is the last legal owner of record who also posses the title still in Dean's name. Not to mention the potential legal trouble for the building's owner if he so happened to be part of this scheme back in '60. Very interesting indeed!

I have my money on it being stolen at the time then chopped up and sold on. Was James the massive star that he has become at his unfortunate death? I'm guessing not so it was just another 550?
