  • Werks Reunion 2014 - A result of prior events?

With opportunity of hindsight - on the past personal and professional efforts, combined with Porsche's own factory contributions - could the current 2014 Monterey-Carmel "Werks Reunion" (now sold-out event) be the result of these two prior very successful 2011 Porsche events ? ...the Rennsport Reunion and Steve Heinrich's Porsche Race Car Classic (PRCC) ?

Inquiring minds are curious...what do you think ?

My understanding was that this 2014 Werks Reunion was born out of an all German event that also included BMW and Mercedes. Porsche decided to have their own event due to the number of Porsche cars growing.

I'm going to drive up Thursday afternoon and camp with my 7 year old daughter at Laguna Seca and then Friday morning go to the Werks Reunion. Admission is free for spectators and parking, they say, is only $10 across the street at a church. Cool!

Michael, I don't know what you look like, but look for me. I'll be dressed in the latest fashion from the summer collection of the Jack Staggs t-shirt line.

          Trevor,

I believe you are referring to the previous "Legends of the Autobahn" event where the new Werks Reunion event will be held in Carmel Valley. "Legends" for Mercedes, BMW, and Audi continues this year but at a different location in Monterey:

My points to consider are about the prior 2011 Rennsport Reunion and PRCC Porsche only show/events - to me, they both confirmed to Porsche AG that they have a viable market to draw to for marketing and advertisement purposes. A lot of of related private vendors seem to think that as well.

Hence - the new 2014 Werks Reunion. I'll keep an eye out there for you and your fashionable T-shirt.
