No time for Jean to rest
One week after the very tiring Le Mans race, Jean was asked by Porsche to drive one of the 3 718 RSK to race Sunday June 29th in the Mont Ventoux hill climb
The Mont Ventoux is located in the French south pre-Alps near Avignon
The summit at 2009 meters is reached by a very narrow and winding road
This hill climb was the 3rd step of the 1958 European Championship consisting in 6 hill climb through Europe
Mont Parnes in Greece
Trento Bondone Mont Cenis in Italy
Mont Ventoux in France
Freiburg Schauinsland in Germany
Salzburg Gaisberg in Austria
Ollon Villars in Switzerland

Another week spent and Jean Behra took part at the 2nd Coupe Internationale de Vitesse raced the same week end than the 12 International hours sport cars race on the Reims Gueux Circuit
For this formula 2 race Jean was given by the Porsche factory a specially developed 718RSK with the wheel in the middle

Jean won again ahead of a multitude of Lotus, Cooper climax, Osca and Ferrari dino
It is this race who decided Jean to develop his own formula 2 race car subject I developed early in this topic

Jean Behra missed the Trento Bondone hill climb raced July 13th where the official Porsches were the 2 off RSK of by Edgar Barth and Wolfgand Berghe Von Trips and the 356 Carrera of Huschke Von Hanstein
Jean Behra was the only one entered by the Porsche official team at the Freiburg Schauinsland hill climb the week after July 20th
He finished 2nd behind Hans Hermann Borgward and in front of 4 more Borgward
I have found no pic of Jean at this hill climb only the poster

By August 3rd 1958 Jean Behra was again part of the Porsche official team for the Rheinland Pfatz Preis a sport car race raced on the Nurburgring racetrack the same week end than the formula 1 Germany Gross

Again he finished 1st ahead of Jo Bonnier with the Borgward 1500 RS and Edgar Barth with the 2 nd official 718RSK

Back to work to day with the many other races that Jean Behra did for Porsche from August to December 1958
For the August 15th week end Behra was back into the official Porsche team for the Salzburg Gaisberg Hill climb (Austria)

Jeann Behra finished 5th behind 2 Borgward RS 1500 and the 718RSK of Edgar Barth
