Hi Steve,

With the Porsche Museum photos posted, they are from a current exhibition there - 60 years of super sportscars. I don't think the Spyder is 0018 as this one has a tan interior and red darts. The press release from Porsche says that it was first raced by Kurt Ahrens in Jan 55. I have him down as the owner of 550-0018, but that car is currently silver with tan interior (but was originally white). The only customer spyders built in Jan '55 was 0016/0017/0018/0019.

Are you able to find out from your contacts at the Museum which Spyder it is, of if it is a replica...?

550-0018 was sold to a P family member a year ago.

0017 was also white/red with beige.

I think this is 0018 properly painted etc. Ahrens wasthe guy and this customer car was the first one actually delivered.
