        • The model of the Buckelwagen is only a scale model (not sure what size) and I believe it is still in the Porsche Museum

                        • The above photo is of Annie Bousquet's car before here fateful crash at Reims. It is interesting that the series of events I have heard leading up to the race say that she drove through the night from the Factory and arrived just in time for the race. It is obvious from the photo that she was there the day before (Reims started at night) and that a test pilot drove the car before the race...

                            • Hi Vance - #23 (0043) is a Wendler built Spyder so it won't have the glovebox. Although the challenge is set to find a photo of 550-05 in Europe with the glovebox on its return, we all know the likelihood of a clear shot is like a needle in a hay stack. It always raced with a tonneau on the passenger side, so it would never be seen. There is still no explanation why both cars (fixed and hinged rear protos) were in Europe at the same time, so getting the glovebox photo would be great, but it is not a game changer any more.

                              Andrew

                              • The presence or absence of a glove box in the ill fated '32' car is irrelevant because it is the re-bodied car. The glove box question relates to races after at least June 1954. We know that 05 was in South America until at least then. The documentation proves this.

So, there are three races where we disagree: Tour de France, Montlhery and Agadir. We believe this was car 07. We have moved on since there seems to be no acceptance by some re the Stuck corespondence.
