  • 1957 1500 Carrera GS/GT Reutter Coupé, s/n 100136

    Good day everyone,

A little over a year ago, we learned about the existence of this Carrera in Japan. It took more than a year but last month we finally closed a very difficult deal, purchased it and shipped it to the States. It is expected to arrive in about ten days.

Here is a what I have been able to learn so far on this one.

The Carrera had been in Japan since 1986 and was most recently with a money lender we do business with and buy vehicles from frequently. Below is a copy of the KARDEX and a COA.

I am trying to learn the history and we are just now finding a few more early details as well as the information on the original Factory KARDEX.

I welcome any and all assistance learning more about this Carrera. Given the very unique color combination and special lighted rear "D" plate, I am sure it must have been seen and photographed in period.

Many thanks again and best wishes,

OK...typically newbie mistake... I meant to post this in the four-cam forum section. Perhaps a moderator can move it there?

        Many thanks,

Thank you kindly Justin for moving this to the right area.

Anyone recognize this Carrera or having anything further they could add to the car's history?

            Cheers,

            Bill Noon
