Here's a nice wall hanger. The remains of hood from a 550 spyder that burned up along with several other highly valuable cars in a Los Angeles hill fire in the early 90's

      Cool collection of parts Justin!

Do you think that second block with a hole in the top of it could be saved?

On the gas tank, it could be used as a temp plate. I saw a re-pop'd one sell on eBay for around $1.3K I think.

Lastly, you have a set of those brakes you're going to use on your car don't you? They look so badass! I wonder if anyone is re-making them? If so I bet they are CRAZY expensive.

        Hey Trevor,
I don't know on that block. Would have to see what mains look like etc. Also for some reason they wacked off the flanges for the trans mount. I would guess its more savable than the first block. but thats not saying much. The tank could be used as a template for sure. Thats about all it would be good for. Yes, still have the GT brakes for the car and there are several guys making reproductions of them. I think they start out in the 5k range. Thanks again! Justin

This is one of those cross over pictures. Though too big to be wall art it is dead Carrera stuff.

The GT tank you saw on ebay was an Aussie commissioned part made in China. The $1300 price tag was about right, as the racer it went to will use it for fun...At that price or less, it could be marketed in volume and used in replicas or Hot Rod 356s.

same guy bought the grenaded Carerra case from me with the heads. I guess with Capricorns new replica parts for Carrera engines...those things become paperweights.

Here the rear clip. Without the script...it's worthless, I know.

That is a nice wall hanger! how did you come by that? Is the alloy panel under it or is it just the fabric? Thanks for posting and Welcome again!

Here are my 60MM 550 Spyder Brakes. They were installed on my speedster in mid 60's. These are not Carrera brakes they are completely different. There were installed on late 550's and 550A's. Porsche used similar 40mm brakes for the rear. The machine work is amazing.

I agree they are really lovely to look at. I polished my standard 'A' brake drums and pleased I did. Yours would also look great polished as well.

Makes my face go green looking at those drums

Those are beautiful Chad! You had to have been tempted to put these back on your speedster; Maybe you'll put them on your coupe? Thanks for posting just clean shots of them! Justin
