  • 1956 Porsche 356 European

    This 1956 European has received paint and body at Deluxe Customs!! It was a big project, consisting of a full front clip repair, full floors, and full rust repair from the ground up!!! This car came to our shop with no front end and basically missing the bottom 12" of the car.... The photos will show what it took to bring this beautiful car back to life!

              Hey Matt,
              Fantastic work! Just hours and hours of fabrication time i see here. I'm sure you guys spent way too time getting all those new panels to fit and work together. All that stuff is a close copy that does not just plug in as you well know. We spoke a while back about it but who did you the battery box assembly from? The front fenders are Trevor panels right? Thanks again for posting! Looking forward to part 2! Justin

                There is lots of metal work we have left out here... but i am showing all the big areas that were replaced. Next is putting in the pan! On this specific car we took out the tunnel prior to putting in the Pan...

                  With the front end done, rockers buttoned up, and pan inserted the European is now ready for media blast! With the exception of some metal work i haven't shown...

                    Once the European returns from media blast it is ready to be all-metaled and body worked! We do not use lead... we use all-metal witch is a metal based product. We use this because of the rust show under LEAD in prior pictures. Lead does not keep out rust...

                      Now with the all-metal finished the European is ready for some light body work!Once body work is completed we go onto our polyester stage. polyester is light spray-able filler, this allow us to get the final straightness we strive for!!!

                          Once the all-metal is finished the European is ready for light body work! After we finish the body work we prepare the car for polyester.... which is light spray-able filler. We use polyester to get the straightness we strive for!!!

                            Once the polyester is sanded the European is now ready for primer!
                            Once primed the European has many hours of wet sanding to be done... but once the primer is sanded its time for paint!!!!!
