I also read that he will be selling other cars as well, but these are the only ones let out in public notice. Rumor has it 17 cars total. Anyone know how many cars total he has in his collection?

I was fortunate enough to see the cars last week. I was told (speculation perhaps) that he just wanted to move the cars onto someone else that could enjoy them. I can't imagine that he needs the money.

Sienfeld has a least 2 locations that he keeps his cars one on each coast. this may be why only 3 have surfaced just a matter of logistics.

682K for a regular Speedster? A premium paid for a celebrity owned Speedster then, Thoughts?

Andrew, was this a record breaking price paid for a 550?

I think it is record breaking at auction, but some have gone for a lot more privately

If you look at auction results for 550s over the years, it is a mixed bag - they could still be a sleeper until they take off like Ferraris. Like all models, there are going to be certain 550s that will demand more money than others, like 550-0090 and any of the prototypes - 01 -15 or the first of the customer Spyders - 0016 to 0018. Then you have the obscure ones like May's wing Spyder 550-0031 or James Dean's 550-0055. But there are a lot of others that either have a great provenance of have been 'missing' for a long time that will come onto the market soon - they are the unknowns!

                          2012 - 550-0062 - $3,685,000
                          2013 - 550-0077 - $3,750,000
                          2016 - 550-0068 - $3,004,653
                          2016 - 550-0060 - $5,335,000
