i've found a little time to play with the 356A. I have two distributors
    1ea. of no.- VJR 4 BR 25
    1ea. of no.- 0231129002 JFR4
I believe the VJR is the one that was in the engine,58 1600N
so what one should I use? is one better than the other? the engine has a big bore kit 912 cam and ether 40mm dell's or webers

    Mr.Badsix:

I believe that both are from a VW engine.

I've forgotten the correct series no. for your engine, but you can't go wrong with an 022 from the later cars.

However, if authenticity is an issue, I suggest you engage Mr.Glenn Ring, who has been on this site, but is most likely to be reached on The Samba. He is quite knowledgeable about these things.

    Good luck.
