Enjoying this Mathe' clinic Porschenelle.

Do you know anything about this particular racer?

You mentioned that Mathe's Fetzenflieger was built on the remains of one of the three Berlin-Rome cars which was wrecked. Do you believe this to be the car? Thank you!

The car was bought first by an Austrian car collector who later sold it to Jerry Seinfeld who had it restored better than new.....

A short continuation....I was told it was not "restored" but "preserved." As I looked at the car, I was shown period magazine articles about that with pictures of the roof rack and the lumps and bumps on the body which were "preserved" to be as when Otto drove the car....just very clean! I was shown the cloth of the seat where a specialist had re-woven worn areas with fibers from under the seat.
I was told (as a 356 restorer)...."You think RESTORATION is expensive? Try PRESERVATION!"

Even If 356/2 052 "look old" it has been e fully restored as the owner use it on a regular basis as prooved by the pic below taken in 2009 during the 34th 356 Montreux International meeting

I have also found a video showing this car doing a run during an historical hill climb in Switzerland
