As said before Henk van Zalinge built several Hirondelle (5 ?)
From what I read the Hirondelle Porsche had an aluminium body but all the other a plastic fiber body
Henk to confirm
Apparently most of the Hirondelle built have survived
The Hirondelle Porsche has been found back without the engine and is being restaured

This DKW Hirondelle is fully restaured

Off topic but for interest Henk Van Zalinge also built one or several (?) formula Junior with the DKW engine in front place
This car is being seen here in 1959 driven by Hans Hugenholtz (where and when I don't know)

Henk van Zalinge also open the Zandvoort Autorensport driving school with Rob Slotemaker
After the accidental death of Rob Slotemaker in 1979 he went on withy Dick van Operen

Henk van Zalinge went on racing first for DKW and Auto Union in the early 60's and then with Porsche 904 of the Dutch National racing team
His best result was at the 1964 Le Mans race with his good friend Ben Pon



In the 70's Henk became Lotus importator for Holland

and at the same time did some races with a Lotus Elan
Outside car racing Henk Van Zalinge other passion was music
He was the inventor of an electronic counterbass for which he gain patent for the whole world
The famous Sting singer play on one of it

What is the electronic counter bass? I've always thought that a bass was a just a 4 string guitar tuned lower. I wasn't aware the pickups where much different?
