    Hi Juergen,

Thank you for joining us and welcome! I have a little experience with rear quarter window assemblies. Just to be clear are asking about the internal rubber seal which surrounds the glass or are you asking about the scraper perimeter seal which mounts to the outside edge of the quarter window frames?
    Regards, Justin

        Hi Juergen,

If you click onto the Blog section you can find all 3 parts on page 1 by scrolling all the way down but to make it easier here are the links:

I think after you read part one you'll see how they go together and will understand how to take them apart. Soak the tiny screws in penetrating oil as best as you can. The top clamps may not need any but the bottom clamp screws will more than likely be frozen. If the screw resist it helps to set the screwdriver in it and tap it lightly with a hammer. What will more than likely happen is that the head will twist-off but either way it gets the frame apart. Hope this helps!

Thanks Juergen, always great to hear that it helped! As for your body mounted seal, its better to have too much than not enough when it comes to rubber. Since the problem is extra length you can save it. I would cut it at its top and bottom angled joints fit the main portion to the body opening in its best relaxed centered position then cut the excess off at the same angle. If the upright section is too long repeat the same procedure. When its time to put the ends back together old fashioned super/crazy glue will do the job perfectly.
