Pretty Luscombe--a deceased friend was the line foreman at Luscombe back in the day. He and his wife were used for several ad photos for Luscombe because both were small people (he was about 5ft 3in tall, she was about 5ft tall. Their smallness made the Luscombe planes look larger in the ad photos.

Damn, that was 5 minutes from my shop and I could pump my own 100LL!

I watched a Smithsonian channel program yesterday about the F-16. After watching that, I was very sure that I was very lucky to not made it that far to have strapped one of those on even for the 3 year training program. I had been "qualified" to be a pilot and assigned to TAC before some allergen in Texas caused bad sinuses (and their discharge, easily noted by the Flight Surgeon!) and potential vertigo earned me an Honorable Discharge from the USAF. As much as I had looked forward to that and watched low-level demonstrations by early examples of the Viper....I think that eager anticipation had about as much chance of success as if I had gone into the Navy eagerly anticipating becoming a SEAL! "A man's gotta know his limitations."
