Gang----
I goofed. Joel is correct!! This is PRCC.
It is not Gary Kempton at back of car. This was and is Stan Gold's car now. Elaine Cannon is standing in back and my surgeon, Dr. Jablons is walking by.
Apologies, Joel and all!!!

Yep, the green one here is the steel one. Formerly owned by the late Gary Kempton (he's seated with hat behind car).
Next to it is the black one then owned by Gerald Barnes.
This was at the Speedster 50th Anniversary event.
Another plug: lots of pictures of the roadsters in the Celebration of an Icon book as well as some more info re Speedsters and Ds.

Think this is the same car.. The windshield framing is much different from the 2pc setup on the adjacent car. Is this then an ' America Cabriolet ' ?

Well, the last one (K/9) was steel and green, but, gee, this color is way off.
Shameless plug: The Speedster Typ 540 book has the full Aluminum Sport Roadster story (called the America Roadster here). Great story by Chuck Stoddard, lots of photos. And, book has original drawing and full list of numbers and dates, etc.

Thanks Trevor, great link. After a thorough review of that short series of cars, I can only conclude that if you were an America Roadster, you did not want to be delivered to Ed Trego...

Nice! I would of sworn that to be an America Roadster with Suicide doors.

Not a Porsche factory car, the unique 1951 Sauter pre-dates the America

Isn't that the von Sauter roadster ? Believe Ray Knight may still own it.

Hi I read a saga once about the odd door Porsche which pre dated the America roadster and was a one off by the factory> Could this be that car?
