I have always thought that an interesting concept. maybe a fragrance name porsche 356, or how about Ferrari GTO. I'm sure they have their own unique scent . It could be produced in a spray bottle so we could mist our interiors to reel us back to yesterday. Or maybe a great scent to spray in the old gents retirement home to waft him back to those forgotten summer rides.

Can you imagine all the fragrances you could create to bring back yesteryear. I wonder why it hasn't be done ?? The only thing close I can remember was English leather, and can't really say it reminded me of leather but still a nice smell.

    Max,
So true, that old wool, horsehair, hide of the Nauga mixed with a bit of oil smoke from the heaters and the detrius of time. Today an extremely unlikely
experience for but a few. Wonder if Brad could find a perfumer to develop
a scent for 356 interiors that's a match to that most excellent trigger of memory for many of our lot.
    Cheers,
    Joel

Joel.....Ahhhh yes can't you just smell that original aroma that only the original materials produce. Worth it's weight in Patina. Only the older folks know what I'm referring too.

I've got to correct myself, the firewall is tan. Craig and I were talking with the owner today and besides the design aspect of it being tan, he felt that the firewall soaks up the sun when black from the back window so he went with tan. Another functionality item is the black door pockets, exactly where your foot would rub, so better to have them black instead of tan.

Don Rutherford has an orange coupe with (I think) MacAfee wheels. It's sweet! I also saw an orange Speedster at the Dana Point Concourse about 5 years ago. The owner was really a nice guy and even had a copy of his Kardex in the driver's side window. Color was listed as orange.

As far as the firewall of the car I posted I think black, but next time he's at the shop I'll grab a pic.

If the car above was mine, I'd have done the metal part of the dash in the same tan tone of the panels. Would be easy with a rattle can. Wonder if the firewall panel is black, tan or both ?

Sweet. Like seeing someone else doing the two/three tone thing. Could have been ordered from the factory and is a great way to step out of the box with your tub. I'm waiting to see a blue/tan/oatmeal combination in a black. brown,
or mustard colored tub. Go for it. It's your car and you'd be surprised at the positive reception something done tastefully that could have been requested, or constructed back in the day will be received. I call them ' In Laws ', modified within the parameters observed back in the day.
