          • Yep, according to Steve's big book "Carrera," three were made, all T-5, two GS and one GS/GT! The Factory acknowledged 2 Convertible D four-cam cars. No T-6 versions, just those made by Drauz. Lots more Carrera Speedsters.

In an actual phone call from my office to the Factory and Herr Barth in 1981, a direct question was posed as to whether any Roadster Carreras had been made and the immediate answer was "No." Perhaps that was an answer to just the D'Ieteren version. Now, the archives have revealed better info due to the digging of dedicated Porsche-holics like the late Steve Heinrichs and his cohort, Rolf Sprenger.

                            • Well Guys,
NO Birthday Cards-No Birthday Cake-Did you forget?
                              Today is 88971s 56th Birthday!
I know that you all know what 88971 means since I'm the 51st Roadster made in 1961!
                              Ya HOO!
Anyway, my faithful owner took me out for a spin yesterday since it was nice and warm here in Virginia!
Top down, of course and BRA on to protect my nice paint in the front.
I took him up to 80 mph and about 4200 RPM (gotta watch out for the police ya know)!
We used to go to the airport when my owner still flew, but those days are past!
Now it just me and the UGH TARGA that I gotta share the garage with!
                              BIG old 3.2 stuff!
But I got the prime spot on the left!
