Justin, without spoiling the French comic book, you could have even more (356 nerd) fun with it if you make it more a puzzle than just the puzzling language.
For instance, can you find more discrepancies than the block with the Cabriolet (where the word "superflu" is used) that has the driver's vanity mirror (which is referenced in French)?
There is the red Speedster with rear bumper guards and no front guards and that Ivory Cabriolet has no inner windshield frame paint color to match the interior (red)...and that the Carrera seems to have what looks like a pushrod motor. Like Dr. Sheldon Cooper, "I could go on"....
I'll obviously have to admit to that trivia sickness, but if done with a smile and no judge's scoresheet, well.......some people collect stamps.

Thanks Joris! Wasn't that ceramic model up for sale on Ebay a while back and offered at 60K??

Hey Bruce, I did the same thing and studied the photos and picked out the mistakes in the illustrations. However I was impressed on the details that were correct like the dash board details. Yes I am 356 nerd too..

Justin, no this is not the one which was on e-bay. This is one I picked up about 8 years ago from the daughter of an old rally driver.

Good idea to put back this topic to life after 3 years
I read it all and was quite surprised to find some posts I did long ago
Some more to keep it alive

Another kind of toy : reproduction of historical cars
Below 3 off Claude Storez cars
To start with the famous white 1500 Carrera speedster he lead to victory at the 1957 Liege Rome Liege (first overall) and Tour Auto (class winner) with Robert Buchet as co-pilot
