Just brought this example out to see it in the sun...it's bright! This Cab was originally Signal/black and any original paint had gone more toward an orange. We have always used 027 Guards red, as it seemed to be a continuation of Signal, but I toned this paint company's version of the formula down with a bit of the maroon ingredient and a smidge (a technical painter's term) of the potent black, counted by the drop as it was put in the 'boxed' mix.
"Tomato" is far more respectful than "French Wh*#@ Lipstick red."Comment

Looks beautiful Bruce! My father shot his early 911 in Guards red and while it looked nice on its own it had too much orange in it for my taste when directly compared to a darker more "redish-red" painted car.
