  • James Dean Speedster Found?

In the Dutch Newspaper "Algemeen Dagblad", there was a story that the James Dean Speedster (not his 550) was allegedly found in France.

From there you can search further. For me there is a possibility that it is a true story, but I am not yet convinced. Too good to be true usually is.
No doubt there are more knowledgeable persons here, so let's hear their opinions.

No new information coming up from the same sources where I found the original message. For the time being, I will classify it as fake news.
Unless anyone comes up with better info.

Henk, I'll repeat a story my late friend Craig Stevenson told me about 10 years ago. We was a very well known guy and restorer who seemed to be in the "know" on just about everything early Porsche. He said that Speedster 80126 was somewhere in the state of Utah and that its current owner knew exactly what he had and that his plan was to sit on it until he was ready to fund his retirement. That story is again about 10 years old but it at least confirmed the car was not lost and in the possession of someone who knew its history.
      Time will tell...
