Olivier Gendebien the famous Belgian driver who took part several time to the official Mille Miglia, tell the following story :
When you reach a curve if there is only a few spectators you may pass full speed
On the contrary if you see a huge crowd brake hard as the curve is dangerous

          Some more numbers

Are only accepted to enter :
cars built up to 1957 (last year of the original Mille Miglia)
cars similar to a car who did effectively race
Each year up to 60 cars who did effectively raced an original Mille Miglia edition race again
Evidently such cars give you a strong push to be accepted
It is in 1949 that for the first time, the race number indicated the starting time
          ie 348 departure at 3 48 AM

The 2015 edition of the Mille Miglia is now over since several days but I have had problems finding pictures of the many Porsches who compete this year
Indeed very few French competitors did participate this year and the only available pics are dedicated to the 2015 Champion Mercedes Benz
                  Anyway what I found
