    Up here they are called toboggan racks. Those pictures were all taken in Gaylord, MI. A real snow belt area in the winter.I believe the car full of old men is a "Gaylord".

    I am guessing about the year of the Ford--you are right --52-54 Fords look the same.

    Good eyes Pat, but how can you tell the year of that Ford. 52-54 all about the same in the back unless you get a close-up of the tail lights.
    I had an nice 54 Sunliner at one time.

    Nice 1955 Packard 400 in red on the right of the above photo. Lots of Cadillacs too. A Studebaker Hawk and a 53 Ford and an Olds.
