356 hoop chop

Hi,

Does anyone have experience of chopping the trans hoop to lower a 356? A friend has chopped his but now the exhaust won't fit as the back of the engine is raised too much.

the racers used to do this, you need to move the front trans mounts up also to get the engine back aligned . I would look for a stock hoop and put it back. The front mount mod is a pain, even if you have a good welder and a machine shop.
