I just picked up a 904 wheel 6Kx15. This wheel is ALL aluminum, rim AND center! Stamped in the center: KPZ.....3.7.....5/65.....6Kx15.....699016....and "LM", which I think might mean "lightmetal". Weighs 9.75lbs. Has anyone ever seen or heard of such a wheel??

Per Tim Kuser: made for hill climb use only, "one run and done" and the Factory was very upset when some of those "escaped" and got into private hands. Porsche did it's best to track them down, presumably for liability issues.
However, completely unaware and naive at that time, I had a set, new, that a magnet could not find anywhere to stick, that came with a nicely prepared EP Speedster I bought in the '70s.
The car also came with 6" American Racing true magnesium Torque-thrust D wheels and I liked those better as far as appearance.

I needed money soon after and the bare shell of the Speedster went as a replacement for another Speedster of another local racer who had crashed and all else went into crates and shipped to Chuck Forge in CA.
