Last night thincking back to what I posted re James Dean white speedster something worry me :
On all the pics posteds Jimmy speedster either carry the number 23 F or 33 F



In fact Jimmy raced 3 times, Palm Springs, Bakersfield airport, S

and Santa Barbara so their should be a third race number or may be he had the same race number for two races
We know for certain that Jimmy's race number at Palm Springs was 23 F and for Santa Barbara 33F so what about Bakersfield race number ?
This morning I did some more searches and find the following






So yes Jimmy had race number 23 F for Palm Springs

Now what's about Bakersfield airport

Yes Von Neumann was there with a 550 spyder race number 11





but Jimmy raced at Bakersfield with race number 123

This race number appear on none of the pics posted which mean that on nthe contrary of what I said yeterday, all the pics with race number 33F belong to the Santa Barbara race in particular that make sense for the pics showing Jimmy and friend pushing hard the 356 speedester on the top of the trailer

taking into account that Jimmy blow out his engine at Santa Barbara

and the Sunday in race 6 (although the entry list say race 7)

Yes James Dean saw a 550 spyder for the first time at Bakersfield (von Neumann) but the pic showing him looking at another one was taken at Santa Barbara
