At that time he was an unknown assistant art director and to earn money Brigitte did a lot of photo shooting for women magazine as "Elle" and "Marie Claire" and also for French car constructors as Renault and Simca

Hi Vance,

I have seen the photo before, but yet to determine the chassis number. It is obviously an early build in the US and blue or red in colour. The only two I can put it down to is 550-0019 or 550-0021, but there is no documented accidents during races for those cars. It is hard without some kind of race number or car feature to be sure...

Interesting at this year's LeMans Classic had this 550 racing, but it is not an original...

Very interesting, do you know anything about that car competing this year? Fiberglass or Alloy body? Equipped with 4-cam engine?

I would be very surprised to hear that a company with so tight links with Porsche enter a replica as a 1955 spyder into a race as Le Mans Classic
