I'm surprised to hear that as Andy is well respected, and although not cheap, I've only heard good about the quality of his work. However, I'm not seen the car nor would I be a good judge of the quality of the work.

Thanks for providing this link Neil. Andrew, what chassis # is this Seinfeld 550? The estimated price would be a record for a Spyder correct?

The blue spyder is 550-0060. Jerry originally had 3 spyders but has already sold one privately. Although a record at auction, many have sold for more privately. Dutoit raced this one and it is a very original 550 so it should get a good price

The blue Seinfeld car looks like Joel Horvitz' old Spyder. Very original, unrestored car. The latest issue of Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car has an
interesting article on Rainer Cooney's Spyder restoration and the two exacting reproduction Spyders he's building for private clients. Amazing workmanship and dedication.

Re Rainer's restoration---fascinating to me that car was built on second 086 frame. He's doing a wonderful job.

Even more impressive to myself is the fact that he and his two man crew are fabricating almost everything themselves. The description of how the frame is
formed using flowed softer metal plugs is fascinating.
