  • Front vent windows B T6

I'm partially "assembling" my 356 B T6, #212167, car was restored by previous owner and others to a race car and I'm setting it up for street. I did not disassemble her.

Could someone tell me if the markings (Sekurit) on front vent window should be outside or inside?
I know it don't make much difference in an outlaw 356, but could be correct anyhow. I just have the windows home, so can't check the other windows.

    TIA,

    Juha

Thanks for the information regarding markings. But I noted that the side windows are "identical",
it mean that the marking is outside on one and inside on the other. No big deal anyhow.

But now I came to an other problem:

      I'm assembling something I haven't disassembled so I'm stuck.
Read a lot of post about vent windows but nothing how to trim the gasket.
There was on this site an excellent write up how to fit the rear vent windows,
because of this mine look really good now, a BIG thanks Justin!
I really appreciated that you took time and wrote it.

There is a vertical rubber that goes in the vertical chromed channel.
Then there is the front rubber that has the curve, like "L" backwards.

How are the "joints" where these 2 rubbers meet trimmed, up and bottom?
I would like to do them correctly and hopefully ending up nicely. We have so
few 356 here so I can not go and look at one. Some photos would be nice.

Should the L-gasket just butt to the vertical gasket?
Apologise for my English, I'm not native.

      TIA,

      Juha
