valve springs

my valve springs had a little rust on them not bad but I could see some faint pitting on a few of them. So I went and ordered some new A springs from Stoddard. The old A springs were a double spring and not very strong, I could push them down with my thumb. The new springs are a single spring, now i'm I ok to use them in place of the double springs.
