A bit of history behind this Porsche publicity
The Porsche spyder 550 who finished 2nd behind another 550 driven by Auguste Veuillet (Sonauto boss and also class winner for Porsche at the 1951 Le Mans race) Gonzague Olivier was driven by the team Joseph Jesper/Annie Bousquet
Annie Bousquet although still married was Huschke Von Hanstein mistress
To please her Huschke Von Hanstein ask Joseph Jesper to share the wheel of his 550 in exchange of a Porsche factory help for the forthcoming race of the 24 Heures du Mans
Right from the start Annie did not feel well (was she impressed by the level of this race ?) and refused to take the wheel after one hour of race
Joseph Jesper had to drive alone the 23 remaining hours
