The Stelvio pass is located in Italy on the road toward Switzerland
This pass is famous for its windy road climbing to 2758 m
The pic was taken at the bottom of this road as the milestone indicate 1.2 km

Some more history around a top class girl who was also a top class pilot : The Belgium pilot Gilberte Thirion
1st pic was taken in Cannes the 10th of April 1952 with her father Max Thirion at the arrival of the soleil de Cannes rallye they finished 5 th overall and 1st in class
