I am restoring a T1 57 coupe VIN 101013. COA says color is "Aquamarine Blue/5707".
I think COA is wrong. I think it should have been "Aquamarine Blue Metallic/5607". The original paint on the inside door panels appear to be the lighter 5607 but I don't see any metallic flaking. I would appreciate the thoughts of others. Also, I understand that today's Aquamarine Blue Metallic is a 2 stage paint with clear coat; whereas, the original version was single stage. Is that right?

My understanding is the metallic color ended with end of the 56 model year in sept 56.

Aquamarine Blue Metallic (5607) was in use on T1s thru Dec. of '56, which included the early run of '57 model T1s (thru approx. ch.no. 583xx or so). The Dec. runs included several '57s with 5607 paint (including my own Trusty Coupe). Not sure about what happened in Jan. of '57.
