Some months ago I found on the net an article about the 2 first (RHD or LHD ?)356 imported in Australia in November 1951

At the end of this article (who still could be found on the net) the Aussie author refered to a car (who at that time was still in Australia) who was also a first : the first RHD 356 imported in England by AFN by end 1953
I took some capture of this article which I kept in my computer with the idea to ask Roy if he knew something about this car
Unfortunately Inever did it until recently when I found these captures back

I then made a search on the net to find out who was Ted Wooley and I discovered that this car left Australia in 2011 to go back to England where it has been sold twice
The first time in 2011 and a second time early this year

I then found that this car had been recently (early 2014) sold by the well known British broker Lee Maxted Page

As you may see this car who started as a race car in the hands of Ted Wooley who intensively raced this car in the 1954/55 years as by example in the 1954 Soleil de Cannes rallye

Interestingly the 1954 Soleil de Cannes rallye was won nby a 356 but not by this one

The DKW ( 3 cylinders 2 stroke) of the co Winner with also a Bentley type R of the 1954 Soleil de Cannes rallye, who was more a regularity trip

than a true race
