                • Is that guy as tall as he appears? He makes the Porsche look half size.

                        Photographer unknown:
I think I know this car and pic. Purchased new on tourist delivery, and driven around Europe and shipped to Corona Del Mar, Ca.. Special color order, "Orange" ('58 color?) with green interior, a stunning combination. Sold in the '90's by original owners to Terry D. of San Juan Capistrano, then to Bob L. in mid 2000. Since sold again, current whereabouts unknown to me. Spectacular number match car with documented history and additional photos.
                        Thanks for posting!

                          • Original photos by original owners (name unknown right now). They also had a German medical kit that had never been used! The top photo is the day the car was delivered to CDM, in the owners driveway. The photos don't really do justice to the color. I like to call it Terra Cotta, a burnt orange color. I serviced that car, including engine O/H, for around 15 yrs. Absolutely delightful. One of my top favorites of all time. Please post more pics if you have them. Mine are buried somewhere in an old computer.
                            Thanks again!

                              • Neil,
That was Robert Wadlow, who died in 1940 so not likely the same fellow.
