Jim more or less started his career in this 356A super. He raced it in the late 50's. Yesterday at the Goodeopod revival it was presented in the Jim Clarke memorial going round the track with a large number of cars he actually drove. He won his world championships a long time ago now but his 356A still runs.
Out of interest, back in the early seventies a guy Nick Mayman found the car in a scrap yard and started restoring it. He died before finishing it and I have the PCGB magazines describing his work. It fianally came into the hands of Tom Pead and Mike Smith of PRS over hear and it was restored and races now.
The car has a racing seat and what looks like a speedster seat for the passenger? Its nice to see a pushrod car being driven around a circuit and so thought anyone with a 356 should see this video.
I also attach a few photos of the the Jim Clarke car
