  • PUSHRODS

so i pulled one end off my pushrods using the pipe fittings and washers, they worked good. now i want to put the ends back on and i'm having trouble. i can't seam to get the end lined up to go onto the pushrod stright. i made a couple hard wood blocks with a indentation in them to use on the ends but still can't get it all together. any ideas?

I have had success in fitting beetle pushrod ends by using two tappets for the rounded ends and hitting them with a hammer. I also used a press once and ended up bending a pushrod. Heating one and cooling the end could also help i find that the first millimeter is usually slightly scew but it corrects itself unless wildly scew. Hope this helps

thanks, went out today and got them together. the first one I tried wouldn't go on straight the rest went easy.
